Although the Krypt Pool is likely just a placeholder name for an opponent to be unlocked as a downloadable extra, it was revealed as a fact that the Krypt Pool is the third opponent of the Klassic release.
The Krypt is an optional bonus in Mortal Kombat X that consists of three opponents from the previous iterations: Ermac, Oni, and Scorpion. It was a pre-order incentive for the Xbox 360 version of the game available exclusively through GameStop and is unlocked by picking the Krypt-themed challenge. Ermac, Oni, and Scorpion are available in Goro, Kotona, and Torture Towers respectively. As with Mortal Kombat 9's Krypt Pool, the Krypt Pool and all of the alternate character costumes are available in Klassic, DLC or as free DLC if you claim it as a trophy.
