As we look at the whole Bible history we see that the most numerous marriages were between ex-giants. in the most primitive days. To a great extent, the perception of marriage has been the product of society. Consequently a lengthy history of marriages throughout the ages has been shaped by the very conditions of society which gave birth to marriage or which normally accompanied and strengthened marriages.
As we've seen, we're all sinners yet willing to be the Savior's temporary bride in this marriage hoping for a better, more permanent tho increasingly more elusive, relationship. To be in a high suiting (ie., high grade) marriage is to be in love and engaged in the work of growing in the knowledge and love of the Lord. Marriage is a term applied to a relationship that exists between two or more people that have chosen to limit their individual lives and liberate their granted freedom to as the Lord directs them to share those lives.
marriage was a way in which a couple would legitimize the relationship between them so that it was acceptable for their friends and the rest of society. It was one way in which men and women and children could be co-habiting.
We know who it is that will confirm a marriage. But we realize that many people believe that `marriage' is no longer a divine institution. Even in the Southern states people are saying, well, if you and I can't get married and the government will not recognize it, why should we? So very many people are getting married who never knew why they were going into the marriage relationship because the pastor never talked to them about marriage in a way that brought conviction. 7211a4ac4a
